1. Introduction and Commitment

Mareo Steps Private Limited (“Mareo,” “Sitaara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the brand “Sitaara” (or “Sitaara Club” / “sitaara.club”). We are a new-generation parenting platform dedicated to simplifying parenthood and bringing back its joy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information in accordance with applicable Indian laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide you with a personalized, high-quality service, focusing on holistic child development and parenting support.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

This includes:

  • Personal details: Name, email address, phone number, and demographic data when you register or interact with our platform.

  • Child Details: Information about your child(ren) necessary for personalizing advice and content (e.g., name, date of birth or due date, age, developmental milestones)

  • Transaction details: Information if you purchase any product enablers or subscription services through our platform.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage and Technical Data: Data about your interaction with our platforms, including content consumption (videos watched, masterclasses taken), IP address, browser type, and operating system.

  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and tracking technologies for enhancing user experience and targeted marketing. By visiting our websites, using our app, or any other owned platforms, you consent to cookies and tracking for analytics through the services listed in Section 5.1.

  • Device and advertising identifiers: Identifiers assigned to your installation of our app and, where your device settings allow it, your device’s advertising identifier (the Google Advertising ID on Android; on iOS, Apple’s advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when the app asks). We also use your Sitaara account ID to connect your activity across sessions.

  • Approximate location: Your general location, such as your city or country, derived from your IP address. We do not use your device’s GPS location for analytics or advertising.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from our trusted third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics tools, marketing partners).

2.4 Information from Social Sign-In Providers

If you choose to register or sign in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, the respective provider authenticates you and shares a limited set of profile information with us so we can create or retrieve your Sitaara account.

Google Sign-In — we receive your Google account’s stable user identifier (used to recognize you on return visits), your verified email address, your display name, your profile picture URL, and optionally your locale and Google Workspace hosted-domain (if your Google account belongs to one).

Sign in with Apple — we receive Apple’s stable user identifier (used to recognize you on return visits), the email address associated with your Apple ID (either your real email or a private relay address generated by Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature), your name (Apple shares this only on your first sign-in), and a fraud-prevention signal Apple sends called “real user status” that helps us identify likely-fraudulent accounts. We respect your privacy choices made in Apple’s system — if you use “Hide My Email,” your real email address is never shared with us, and we never use the relay address to look up or merge accounts.

Linking sign-in methods — a single Sitaara account may have more than one sign-in method attached (for example, a phone number and a Google account). Linking is always initiated by you from the Profile → Settings screen, and you remain in control of which sign-in methods are connected to your account.

Deletion — when you delete your Sitaara account (Profile → Delete Account), all linked social sign-in identities are removed along with the rest of your personal data, in line with Section 7 of this policy.

3. Consent to Communication and Marketing (Opt-In Clause)

By providing your contact details (including, but not limited to, name, phone number, and email ID) on any Sitaara platform (website, web pages, iOS/Android apps, registration forms, contacting us via WhatsApp/Email/SMS or forms filled on other third-party websites or social media platforms that we use), you are opting in and granting express consent for Sitaara to contact you via these channels with informational, promotional, and service-related communications. This also applies to being part of any WhatsApp groups that are created/managed by Sitaara.

You can manage your preferences and opt out of marketing communications at any time via in-app settings or by contacting us directly.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide personalized parenting advice and product recommendations.

  • To improve our services and user experience.

  • For marketing and retargeting purposes on third-party platforms.

  • To comply with legal obligations.

4.1 Data Use for AI Training and Personalization

We utilize your data, including usage patterns, content consumption, and the questions you ask Sitaara’s AI Assistant on the app or web, to improve and train our proprietary models and to personalize your experience. This data will be used in an aggregated and anonymized manner to ensure that no personally identifiable information is used when training our AI models.

5. Data Sharing & Security

  • Sharing with Trusted Third Parties: Your data is shared only with trusted third-party service providers for essential business functions such as analytics, payment processing, and marketing.

  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell your data to third parties.

  • Security Measures: We implement security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

5.1 Analytics, Measurement and Advertising Partners

We use the following service providers to understand how our app is used, to measure and improve our marketing, and to learn which of our advertisements led to an app install or a purchase:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC)

  • Meta (Facebook SDK, Meta Platforms, Inc.)

  • AppsFlyer (AppsFlyer Ltd.)

  • PostHog (PostHog, Inc.), for product analytics that help us fix problems and improve features

These providers receive records of actions you take in the app, such as creating an account, completing onboarding, watching a video, opening a masterclass, starting a checkout and completing a purchase (including the amount and currency). These records come with the identifiers and approximate location described in Section 2.2. Each provider processes this data under its own privacy policy. We share data only with providers that are required to protect it to at least the standard described in this policy. To help Meta match activity in our app to Meta accounts, so that we can measure our advertising, the app also shares your phone number and, if you gave us one, your email address with Meta. They are converted on your device into a scrambled form (hashed) before they are sent.

PostHog also receives the account and child details described in Section 2.1, and the questions you ask our AI Assistant, so that we can understand and fix problems. PostHog processes this data only on our behalf.

From version 1.4.0 of our app, released on 15 October 2026, we do not share your child’s name, date of birth or due date, or the questions you ask our AI Assistant, with our advertising partners (Google, Meta and AppsFlyer).

Google Analytics keeps this event data for 14 months. Our providers may process data on servers outside India.

5.2 Your Choices About Tracking and Advertising

  • iPhone and iPad: Our app asks before it uses your device’s advertising identifier. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

  • Android: You can reset or delete your device’s advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).

  • European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: We do not use Google Analytics data for ad personalisation or for advertising measurement for users in these regions.

  • Google signals: We use Google signals in Google Analytics. For people who are signed in to a Google account and have turned on ad personalisation, Google may connect activity in our app and on our website with that account. This gives us aggregated reports, such as age range, gender, interests and activity across devices. We never receive information that identifies you through Google signals. You can manage this in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com. On our website, you can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

  • To ask us to delete the data we hold about you, contact us as described in Section 8.


6. Event Media and Recording Consent

If you register for or attend any Sitaara offline or online event (such as play sessions, book clubs, or masterclasses), you consent to Sitaara (Mareo Steps Pvt Ltd) conducting recording, photography, and/or videography of attendees, and their children if present. This media may be used by Sitaara for marketing, testimonials, publishing event highlights, and internal business purposes. If you would like specific recordings or images to be taken down, you can contact us.

  • Access, Correction, or Deletion: You can request access, correction, or deletion of the data we hold about you.

  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of marketing and promotional communications at any time.
